Rooted: Spiritual Formation for the Next Generation

Integrates Scripture, theology, psychology, and trauma-informed leadership to form resilient disciples who love God, love themselves rightly, and love their neighbors in practice.

Why Rooted?

College students are asking: Who am I? Why am I here? How do I love others well?

Rooted answers these questions with a biblically grounded, psychologically informed approach to spiritual formation.

Rooted integrates Scripture, theology, psychology, and trauma-informed leadership, equipping students to form a resilient identity in Christ and live out the Great Commandment: Loving God, themselves, and their neighbors.

What Students Will Learn:

  • Explain a biblical theology of identity and the Imago Dei as the foundation for spiritual formation.

  • Practice emotional and relational maturity: empathy, forgiveness, and healthy boundaries.

  • Recognize dysfunctional patterns and apply redemptive, biblical responses.

  • Engage spiritual disciplines (prayer, Sabbath, community, confession) to strengthen mental and spiritual health.

  • Create a personal Rule of Life integrating vocation, faith, and relational love

What We’re Building and Why It’s Different

Rooted was designed for a generation seeking faith that feels real, not just informed by theology, but transformed by it. We’re building more than a Bible course; we’re cultivating a new model of formation that unites Scripture, psychology, and practice into one cohesive path of discipleship.

What makes Rooted different is its whole-person focus. Students don’t just study identity or community, they experience it through reflection, conversation, and lived application. Every element, from trauma-informed language to relational exercises, is crafted to foster safety, authenticity, and spiritual maturity.

Where traditional spiritual formation often centers on knowledge or ritual, Rooted integrates inner healing, emotional literacy, and embodied love so students can live out faith with clarity, compassion, and conviction.

Rooted bridges the gap between learning about God and actually being transformed by Him.
